4th Nationwide Moot Court Competition, 2026

The School of Legal Studies, CGC University, Mohali is organising the 4th Nationwide Moot Court Competition, 2026, scheduled to be held from 22nd to 24th October 2026 at CGC University, Mohali.
The competition aims to provide law students from across India with a platform to develop and demonstrate their skills in legal research, memorial drafting, analytical reasoning, oral advocacy and courtroom presentation through a simulated courtroom experience.
About CGC University, Mohali
CGC University, Mohali was established in 2025 under the aegis of the Chandigarh Educational Society. Building upon a legacy of more than 25 years in education, the university continues its commitment to academic excellence, research and student development.
The institution previously operated as Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, and earned NAAC A+ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.46/4.0.
About the School of Legal Studies
The School of Legal Studies, CGC University, Mohali offers a 3-year LL.B. programme as well as 5-year integrated law programmes. The School brings together experienced legal scholars and practitioners to provide students with a rigorous academic environment and practical exposure to the legal profession.
About the Competition
The 4th Nationwide Moot Court Competition, 2026 is designed to encourage law students to sharpen their analytical, argumentative and presentation skills while developing their abilities in legal research, legal writing and oral advocacy.
Through participation in the competition, students will have the opportunity to engage with a simulated courtroom environment and demonstrate their understanding of legal issues before evaluators.
Eligibility
Students pursuing a full-time 3-year LL.B. programme or a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme from an institution or university recognised by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate.
Each team may consist of three members — two speakers and one researcher — or two members.
